World AIDS Day

On the 1st of December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. This year, its “Equalize” slogan calls that same world into action: it prompts us to tackle the inequalities which perpetuate the AIDS pandemic – which are not inevitable (UN 2022). We wholeheartedly join this call.

Our IMPACT team works towards a more inclusive world for those living with and affected by HIV through operational research, M&E, and capacity building activities. It is one of our key areas of expertise.

One of the projects we have been involved in, is PITCH – a five-year (2016-2020) advocacy-based program focusing on the capacity building of local CSOs to advocate for equal rights and access to services for key populations in countries that are highly affected by HIV.

Using innovative evaluation methods, such as stories of change and Outcome Harvesting, our team was responsible for the end term evaluation of the program. We provided a critical analysis of the program’s contribution to evidence-based changes in relation to its goals and advocacy strategies.
