Human Rights day

Today , we celebrate Human Rights Day – the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

ResultsinHealth actively works to contribute to the recognition and realization of these rights. Our key areas of expertise include Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights, Gender Equality, and Social Inclusion.

By implementing participatory methods, we include program beneficiaries in our activities in an active and meaningful manner. Such methods are particularly valuable when working with vulnerable groups, people whose rights are not ‘a given’, but disrespected, or disregarded altogether.

One of the activities we’ve been involved in recently, was an impact evaluation of World YWCA’s initiative ‘Promoting the realization of the right to health for young women and girls’.

Combining several inclusive and participatory methods such as the Most Significant Change technique and Photovoice, our team was able to meaningfully engage the program beneficiaries in the evaluation process. We collectively reflected on the impact of the program and its effectiveness in disrupting prevailing cultural narratives prohibiting women and girls from knowing, owning, and exercising their rights.
