Forests for a Just Future: providing baseline values & targets

ResultsinHealth recently finalised the baseline report for the “Forests for a Just Future” project, implemented by the Green Livelihoods Alliance. The “Forests for a Just Future” programme aims to ensure that tropical forests and forest landscapes are sustainably and inclusively governed to mitigate and adapt to climate change, support human rights, and safeguard local livelihoods.

Taking an inclusive and participatory approach, we worked closely with the client to ensure a co-creation process throughout all levels of the baseline. The baseline tools were developed in collaboration with the GLA and shared with project partners for their input on feasibility and appropriateness.  Furthermore, the ResultsinHealth team – remotely – trained local data collectors, ensuring everyone was able and motivated to use the tools and contribute to the baseline.

Combining this interactive approach to tool design and data collection with high quality data analysis, we provided our client with the baseline values and targets that will be used as reference to track progress throughout the programme.
