Background
Hilbrand has over 25 years of experience providing technical assistance in health and health systems in a large number of countries. He is ResultsinHealth’s general director and strategist. In addition, he leads ResultsinHealth's largest portfolio, providing Procurement and Supply Management services to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. This service was established 12 years ago through a collaborative agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers and currently provides services in over 70 countries. Hilbrand also leads ResultsinHealth’s Maternal Newborn and Child Health unit, and is involved in the development of interventions to significantly reduce maternal and newborn mortality, teenage pregnancy, violence against women, and other major problems experienced by women and girls in low- and middle-income countries. These interventions focus on analysing the weaknesses of common programme approaches and applying radically new methods to address problems. Hilbrand speaks Dutch, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Aryanti Radyowijati

Technical Director

Education

Background

Aryanti has over 10 years of experience working on health and development in the Netherlands, and internationally. She leads a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work on various projects in several countries. Aryanti also brings her experience in training and education in international health to ResultsinHealth. She has research interests in the social aspects of health and holds a teaching appointment at the Windesheim University of Applied Science in Zwolle. She speaks Indonesian, English and Dutch.

Aryanti is specifically responsible for the development of all new areas of activity, including research and knowledge transfer: “I take great pleasure in leading our activity development and ensuring that ResultsinHealth delivers the services the Clients expect with exceptional quality.”

Marijke Westerman

Programme Manager Global Fund portfolio

Education

Bachelor of Cultural Anthropology and Sociology of Non-Western Societies with a major in rural-urban transformations and development policies, Free University Amsterdam, 1996.

 

Background
Marijke has a long-standing interest in the cultures of other societies. After graduation from university, she spent time living and working abroad. Upon returning to the Netherlands, she worked many years as an assistant to the directors of an international firm. Marijke joined ResultsinHealth to realise her dream of combining her organisational expertise with advising in health and development. Marijke speaks Dutch, English and German.

Key responsibilities at ResultsinHealth
Marijke’s specific tasks include coordination of ResultsinHealth’s Global Fund portfolio. In addition, she is ResultsinHealth’s human resources manager. Coordinating, organising, and assisting ResultsinHealth’s team and associates suits her well: “Combining coordination and hands-on management activities, and working in an international development agency gives me a lot of energy. Being in daily contact with people all over the world is the ideal employment for me!”

Imilja Egberts

Education

Background
Imilja has lived and worked in many countries. Her years as a coordinator in an international exchange organization included designing and managing exchange programmes, evaluating those programmes and developing institutional strategies. Working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds has made her a culturally sensitive networker. She speaks Dutch, English and Spanish.

Imilja is part of the coordination team for ResultsinHealth's Global Fund portfolio. She finds it motivating to help international experts do their work to the best of their abilities, and likes to be in frequent contact with them. Imilja's true passion is to make ResultsinHealth an exceptionally strong organization in international development assistance. "Working for practical and creative solutions and being part of a team that wants to achieve high quality results is where I feel comfortable and challenged", according to Imilja.”

Daniela de Sousa

Programme Manager Global Fund portfolio

Education

Master of Science in International Development Studies, Utrecht University, 2009; Master of Arts in Latin American Studies (major in international management), Leiden University, 2007.

 

Background
Growing up in an international environment, Daniela preferred studying and working on international development issues and in international contexts. As part of her studies, she had internships in Lusophone countries, and gained in-depth knowledge of the Portuguese culture and language. After her studies, Daniela chose to work in international advisory services and managed capacity development projects in several countries including Benin, Burundi, Rwanda and Nicaragua. She assisted in project design and implementation and has gained considerable experience with various donor-tendering procedures, including the European Commission. Daniela speaks Dutch, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Daniela is part of the team of coordinators for ResultsinHealth’s Global Fund portfolio. In addition, she is ResultsinHealth’s contract manager. Daniela is excited about her diverse role in ResultsinHealth’s operations. As she puts it: “I find it very rewarding to be able to connect people, organizations, and ideas and ultimately to contribute to sustainable development in countries.

Nur Hidayati

Programme Officer HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Education

Master of Public Health, Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam, 2002; Bachelor of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 1999.

 

Background
Nur has over ten years of public health experience in the fields of HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights, psychosocial/mental health, and gender issues. She has worked in capacity building including curriculum development and trainings, research design and implementation including monitoring and evaluation, and program and project management in development and emergency settings. Nur is from Indonesia and has worked extensively there, as well as Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Netherlands. She speaks English, Indonesian, Javanese and Dutch.

Key responsibilities at ResultsinHealth
Nur plays a decisive role elaborating the international component of the development and implementation of sexual and reproductive health projects, particularly those set in South East Asia. “I enjoy collaborating with colleagues from all over the world. International public health begins with this collaboration.”

Rima Irmayani

Programme Officer Public Health

Background
Rima has worked for over 10 years for a variety of national and international agencies in Indonesia and the Netherlands. She worked on issues related to conflict, reconstruction, disaster management and food security in both emergency and development settings. She is wel experienced in proposal development, programme management and institutional fundraising. In addition, Rima has extensive experience in conducting evaluation and research in areas such as civil society, community development, disaster management and social inclusion. Rima speaks English, Indonesian and Dutch.

Rima’s ideal is to use her knowledge and experience to achieve ResultsinHealth’s mission. She has been living in The Netherlands since 2009, and was pleased when ResultsinHealth asked her to join the Organisation. Rima explained that she finds it “inspiring to work with an organisation that contributes to development in innovative ways and through practical solutions ”.

Marije Veenstra

Programme Officer Public Health

Background
Marije’s academic background has provided her with a deep knowledge of health, disease, development and the ways in which various stakeholders manage these topics. During her studies, she focused on the body - in particular the body in war - and the way in which one’s body can be (ab)used to reach specific goals. Marije has done volunteer work and research in both South Africa and India exploring and implementing initiatives of positive change and development.

In ResultsinHealth, Marije is involved in project implementation, the development of new business opportunities and the coordination and development of the content of RiH’s communication materials. Marije is a goal-oriented person, motivated to work in an internationally oriented environment where personal initiative and creative thinking are welcomed. She aspires to be part of innovative initiatives that connect theoretical knowledge to effective, context-specific implementation.

Karin Kors

Project Assistant

Background
Karin trained to become a professional nurse, but switched her career shortly after graduation and entered international tourism and later human resources recruitment. She has worked for many years in a variety of management positions. However, given her interest in health and health care, Karin returned to her original vocation, entered a health maintenance organisation, and was placed in charge of patient data management. Throughout her employment history, Karin has obtained substantial experience in project administration and project support.

Karin is responsible for one of ResultsinHealth’s project secretariats and for overall support in the organisation. She is happy to work in an organization where her previous experience is coming together. Karin explains, “It makes me happy that my varied experiences are useful for making projects successful.”

Titing Martini

Project Assistant Indonesia portfolio

Education

Master of Development Studies, Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, 2002; Bachelor of Social Work, Faculty of Social Science, University of Indonesia, 1995.

 

Background
Titing has worked for many years in large international NGOs in Indonesia providing technical assistance in the field of child protection (children involved in child labour, child prostitution and street children) and programmes to prevent child trafficking. Through those activities, she has gained considerable experience in programme design, implementation and evaluation. During the years she worked in the research centre at Atmajaya University and the University of Indonesia, she developed her skills in qualitative and quantitative research, teaching and training. She has published a series of research papers in national and international fora, and presented in a variety of conferences on the subject of child protection. She speaks English, Indonesian and Dutch.

Key responsibilities at ResultsinHealth
Titing has been living in the Netherlands since 2007. She joined ResultsinHealth in 2014 to assist in managing ResultsinHealth’s expanding portfolio of activities in Indonesia. Her work focusses on project acquisition, partner identification, Indonesian event organisation, and overall support to the ResultsinHealth team. Titing appreciates the dynamics in ResultsinHealth: “It is amazing how fast a small and focussed team can work, and how much fun it is to work well together!”

Ingrid van der Zwet

Financial Manager

Education

Degree in Financial Management, 2008; PhD Biochemistry, University of Amsterdam, 1996; Master of Biology, University of Leiden, 1991.

 

Background
After a career in science, Ingrid looked for new challenges, which she found in finance and administration. After working for a variety of companies and gaining experience in several aspects of financial administration and control, she joined a foundation that promoted Dutch flower bulbs and flower culture in Europe, Asia and North America. Working with other countries and societies awakened Ingrid's interest in international development.

ResultsinHealth's scope of work, combined with Ingrid's interests and expertise created a perfect fit. She is responsible for all financial management of the company. As Ingrid puts it: "Knowing the importance of sound financial management in any organisation, I directly contribute to ResultsinHealth's achievements".

Suzan Maliepaard

Human Resource Manager and Communication Officer

Education

After completing her pre-university education, Suzan chose to specialise in office management, and has worked in this field over the last 15 years. She has also attended a variety of practice-based training courses.

 

Background
Suzan has worked as a Management Assistant in several agencies both national and international, some of which are active in marketing health care products and services. Her profound interest in people (and making them function optimally), together with a love for travel, meeting new people, and interest in other cultures make Suzan the ideal fit for ResultsinHealth.

Suzan is a multi-talented professional. In ResultsinHealth she is responsible for the human resource management, and the development of all communication materials. To ensure a social, healthy and safe work environment she finds one of the most important aspects of her work as Human Resource Manager. Working on communication projects gives her also great pleasure.
